Soccer World Cup

The Soccer World Cup kicks off today, last nights concert in the Orlando Stadium was great (watched on SABC 1 - they played ads in-between - could not believe that!) ... just a pity 1 or 2 artists were a bit lacking - wonder how they found them, could rather have had the Parlatones perform more than 1 song, really ....... there was a lady that sang some songs - was awesome - such a vibrant person and huge stage personality - even though she is black, would go see her anytime, not the traditional music - really good stuff also a black guy - not the greatest voice but he was awesome in my books ..... I watched it all, the international artists were also awesome .....

Making a good indian bunny chow for supper tonight ........ for the kids coming over to watch the opening and 1st match on TV at our place ........ so looking forward to it, but I have to decide if I am going to 'bunny chow' mine or just place it on rice ..... decisions ... decisions ... decisions ..... going to walk 10 km's tomorrow - so maybe I can chance it .....

I have to admit ... I have finally got into the World cup 'vibe' thought it had passed me ........ also can't believe I am going to watch soccer today (I like action - and soccer is a very slow game) and most probably tomorrow etc etc etc ...... Rooting for Bafana Bafana today ...... 80 something on the log playing Mexico who is about 17 or 18th on the log ...... but it is the World cup so we will be supportive of our boys and hopefully they go on to the next round ...............

I am supporting our team first, and then I will also support the 4 teams that have made KwaZulu Natal their 'home' ...... it only makes sense to me ..... so now I just have to find out who those teams are .............

Internet at home has been down from last saturday ... hoping they sort it out by today ..... Love and miss you all -

PS - to the family in America, especially Garreth ... guys, you are missing out on an awesome vibe here in South Africa - it is incredible ..........

We can only guess how amazing the vibe is in South Africa. We are all watching the matches on T.V. Wish we could be there. How is mother doing. Tell her I say I miss her.
