Chantal turns 21

On the 22nd September Chantal turned 21!
She wanted to have a masquerade party at home ......
Lots of work later and the party was a reality ....
Little sleep, lots of food, a lovely cake ...
and here is the pics!

Chantal and her friends dancing in my empty lounge ...
 Andy and Janine ...
 Nelson and Chantal ....
 Nanna and Lorraine .....
 It says it all ....
It feels like I cut hundreds of these notes and maskes out ....
don't want to do that again in a hurry .....
my home is still covered in glitter......

We wanted a cardboard arch .... but my hubby did this ....
soooo much better

We strung hundreds of balloons and streamers accross the section that is not undercover and created a canopy .....
Just so glad that it did not rain .....
Seated 48 people in this little area ...
 Andrew and I ......
Dad ... making THE speech ....
turned very emotional ....
Bugz .... listerning to her Dad
Her 'boet' doing his speech .....
Bugz ... doing her speech .......
Chantal with some of her old school friends .....
It worked so well, there was a table for the church friends, old school friends, the older friends (Andy's friends that have put up with his little sister all these years),  the 'Afrikaans' friends, the varsity and orchestra friends and then there was the table for the older folks (the Grannies, Grandpa and Aunt).  Worked out so well.
 My two .....
On the right is Brian van Niekerk, the minister, who is also a 2nd cousin on the Beech side of the family ...... surprise, surprise .... the world is very small indeed
I am so proud of this cake ..... I baked it, I decorated it and copied the music onto it ..........
The young one's dancing .....

Just want to say this...
last week was such a full week ...
I crashed Andrews Isuzu on Tuesday ......
I do not have a scratch on me - daily thanking the Lord for his protection,
the car was packed with the drinks for the party ...... how embarrassing ... I don't even do alcohol
Chantal turned 21 on Wednesday ...   I baked and iced the cake that evening
Spent Thursday making tons  of 'Macaroni and Cheese'
Decorating and getting everything ready ....
Don't know how we did it ....
But just going through 2 weeks of very little sleep and here I am starting to plan Andrew's 50th .....

Well I just can't wait to see what you do for uncle Andrew's 50th bash because this party looks amazing. I'm sure many memories were made. Chantal is stunning, love her dress. We miss you and your family.

Wow Valmai, You all look so great. Chantal is stunning. Both Andrews look great. You look amazing and fit. Wish I could have been there, it sure looks like you all had such fun. You should open your own business and call it "THE PARTY PLANNER". Love you
