Home alone

I am going to have a pretty quiet weekend this weekend. Andrew and Andy have gone up to Johannesburg this morning. It was very windy at Van Reenen's Pass yesterday and trucks blew over, and this was the traffic there this morning as they are still recovering vehicles. It took them an additional 1.5 hours to get through this.
Chantal is very lucky, the KwaZulu Natal Youth Orchestra is having a workshop this weekend, and they have to practice this weekend in Pinetown. She will sleep at home with 3 other kids, we are hosting, they practice untill 21h00 tonight, tomorrow they practice the whole day again and I think they finish at about 5 or 6 o'clock and then on Sunday again. This is all in preparation for her trip next week to Stellenbosch. The orchestra has been invited to participate in the Stellenbosch International Chamber Music Festival. It is apparently such a learning experience for the kids, but it is also lots of hard work. She is looking so forward to this, it is all so exciting. They stay at the University there. Will post some news when she gets back.
Nanna comes back on Wednesday evening and Thursday morning Chantal leaves.
So I am going to do some sewing, making a blind for my bathroom, and sewing a few tops for Chantal. The house is going to be so quiet. Andrew flies home tomorrow night again, he was not into staying up in Joburg any longer than absolutely neccessary in that cold weather and Andy comes back on Monday. Andy has gone purely to 'jol' with Darren.
I am going to miss my family, but I will also enjoy the peace and quiet, just doing my own thing for most of the time.

Wow, and I thought we had it bad! On the way to Utah, there was an accident ahead of us. This slowed us up about 3 hours. Enjoy the quite this weekend. I am proud of Chantal. Love that child. I hope the trip home goes smoothly for mother. I will miss her as she has been a great help.
